Welcome to AfriInvest. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our platform, services, and website. By registering as an Investor, Borrower, or Broker/Referrer, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" - The AfriInvest website, mobile applications, and all related services
• "Investor" - Users seeking investment opportunities in African projects
• "Borrower" - Users seeking funding for their business or project
• "Broker/Referrer" - Users who connect Investors and Borrowers for a commission
• "User" - Any registered individual or entity using the Platform
• "We", "Us", "Our" - AfriInvest and its affiliates

3. Eligibility

To use our Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable laws
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification as required

4. Account Registration & Security

4.1 Account Creation

You must register for an account to use the Platform. You agree to:

• Provide true, accurate, and complete registration information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it current
• Safeguard your password and account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.2 KYC Verification

All users must complete KYC verification by submitting:

• Government-issued identification (Passport, ID, Driver's License)
• Proof of address (Utility bill, Bank statement)
• Additional documents as required for your user type

5. Role-Specific Terms

5.1 For Investors

• You acknowledge that all investments carry risk and past performance does not guarantee future results
• You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before investing
• You understand that investments may not be liquid and may have lock-in periods
• You agree to comply with all applicable investment and tax laws in your jurisdiction
• You certify that you have the financial capability to bear investment losses

5.2 For Borrowers

• You must provide accurate and truthful information about your business and funding needs
• You agree to use borrowed funds solely for stated business purposes
• You acknowledge your obligation to repay loans according to agreed terms
• You must provide regular updates on project progress to investors
• You consent to background and credit checks as part of the approval process

5.3 For Brokers/Referrers

• You must accurately represent the Platform and opportunities to potential users
• You may not make false or misleading statements about investments or projects
• You agree to comply with all referral and commission policies
• You acknowledge that commission payments are subject to successful transactions
• You must disclose your referrer relationship to all parties you introduce
